19 avril 2008/04/11 Farewell EdwardJonesAfter graduation from SFU in Oct. 2001, I started looking for jobs. Originally, I only focused on government and banking jobs. During this job searching period, I went to a EdwardJones branch in Richmond to act as an volunteer. An unexpected job opportunity arised when my BOA mentor, Shirely Chan, decided to work in another branch. That is how I entered EdwardJones Investment as a Branch Office Administrator in Apr. 2002.
I planed to work in EJ for 4 years. I learned alot from this industry, this company, this branch and its clients. Unfortunately, my 1st FA left the firm in Sep 2006, so I feel that I need to stay here for a while longer in order to transit the branch business to the current FA, Albert Ma. Thanks for Albert's kindly support, I am able to completed CSC and CPH courses in 2007.
It has been a great 6 year working experience with EJ. I wish there will be another chance to join EJ again in a different role/position in the future! 7 août 2007/07/23 Sweet BurdenCaroline comes here to stay the summer with her grandparents and uncle (me) during 06/20 to 08/20. We took her out twice a day so she can learn and have fun every single moment when she is awake. She grows quickly both in mind and body. What does her future look like? We shall wait and see!
See the background picture for her naughty behavior! 4 mai 2007/04/28 San FranciscoPretrip: Originally, it is a trip for my dad and mom. But becasue my mom was called back by my sister to take care my niece, I become a substitute. Frankly speaking, it is still a valuable trip to me because I visited some places that I have never gone before. It also brought back some memory of my last trip here when I was in grade 4 or 5. For trip detials, please take a look at the pictures, thanks.
23 février 2007/02/14 Caroline's 1 year brithdayTime past fast. I moved to my grandmother's place and started to live apart from my sister since grade 12 because grandmother's place is closer to my high school. The next year when I graduated, I immigranted to Canada. But my sister decided to stay in Taiwan because she was studying in NTU Foreign Language/English Dept. Since then, my sister has lived in Taiwan all by herself for the past 10 years. Last year she came here and gave birth of her first child, Caroline.
She came here with 7 month pregrency in Dec. 2005. Carlone was then born in Feb 14, 2006. (Valentine baby) Then she took the baby and my mom back to Taiwan in Apr. This Jan., she came here agian with Caroline during her winter semester break. (Graduate Institute of Translation & Interretation/National Taiwan Normal University/師大英語研究所) After staying with us for one month, she and Carlone went back again on 02/21.
Overall speaking, Carlone is a good baby who won't cry loud in the public. When we took her to supermarkets or restaurants, she likes to look around and explore new things. For the first 6 months, she is really a chubby one because all the things she can do is eat and sleep. After being able to crawl, her size becomes "normal" as taking more "exercise". As time progress, she can walk a few steps, stand up and grab any objects she can contact. Her action pattern is: looking for something new -> crawl/approach that "new" thing -> grab -> taste & bite -> if it is not interesting (or not tasty), then throw it away. Days by days she becomes more heavier, stronger and more energetic. Sometimes it is a chaos for 4 adults like us (my parents, my sister and me) to take care a little baby like her.
Feel free to take a look at Carloine's video clips and photos. 16 novembre 2006/11/11 Hot Spring Trip in AinsworthThanks to Win Tseng for bringing us to his favorate hot spring resorts in interier BC. Although it takes 7 hr drive (in high speed under snowing condition) to get there, the scene, the resort and the hot spring worth the trip.
Everyday we spent at least two times in the hot spring. Each time I stay in the pool for 2 hours. But Win, Ellen, David and Bianca stay much longer than I am. 真是要泡到爛.
Ainsworth Hot Springs: The Hot Springs feature a unique horseshoe cave, where the Hot Water first comes in. It comes into our systems at about 117 F degrees and we have to cool it to average 42 C, 114 F before it enters our caves. The mineral waters fall from the caves roof and forms into a pool about waist deep, providing a natural steam bath. Stalagmites and Stalactites form everywhere. The main lounging pool temperatures average about 35 C / 96 F. Gallons of Hot Mineral Water flows through our pools, changing the water naturally about 6 times a day. For the brave we also offer a streamfed cold plunge which temperature varies with the seasons. For a first hand view of the horseshoe cave, http://www.seevirtual360.com/6337/
Halcyon Hot Spring: The water beckons all year long! Swirl away tensions in our natural mineral spring pools featuring a spectacular view overlooking serene Arrow Lake and the Monashee mountain range. Halcyon's beneficial hot mineral waters have a unique combination of sodium, lithium, magnesium, calcium, & strontium which can provide relief from arthritis, osteoporosis and gout as well as naturally soothing away muscle tension. The pools are open 365 days a year. http://www.halcyon-hotsprings.com/
The suite for 8 ~ 10 people in Halcyon Hot Spring is renovated and high class! |
